Driver Announcement – Britain West Motorsport is excited to announce the return of 2020 rookie standout Connor Clubine to the team piloting the #6 Van Diemen Ford he enjoyed great success in last season.
Clubine comes to the championship looking to improve on his 2nd place “B” Class standings in 2020, buoyed by several podium finishes and wins and building on the family’s legacy in top Canadian formula car competition started by his father David Clubine and late grandfather – the popular Oliver Clubine.
“There’s a great deal of pride in having a Clubine in a Britain West car and to see Connor enjoy immediate success last season was very special for our family,” said Britain West principal David Clubine. “We have given him every opportunity to succeed by preparing good equipment and surrounding him with good people so it will be fun to watch him to continue to grow as a driver.”
“I’m really excited to get to be back in a car this year,” said Connor. “My goal is to hit the ground running and get strong results right away. I have been hard at work getting the car ready and am hoping to get on track as soon as is possible,” he added.
Britain West will be bringing 4 cars to the opening round of the 2021 Toyo Tires F1600 Championship starting with the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix, June 18-20.
