Britain West had an outstanding weekend of racing during the September 25/26 Fall Classic event at the scenic Mt Tremblant circuit in Quebec.
Everything went Nick Gilkes way as he started the weekend on pole position for race 1 and never looked back, grabbing all 3 race wins up for grabs over the weekend and sealing his first championship victory in his rookie year of Formula 1600 competition.

His sister Megan joined him for the weekend and once past some niggling brake issues managed to start 3rd for race 1. She quickly moved to 2nd where she would finish at the checkered flag. Starting in 2nd for race 2 Megan had a great battle with her brother, swapping the lead back and forth but eventually having to settle for another 2nd step of the podium. A spin in race 3 while running in 2nd dropped her down the field but she rallied back to finish a strong 3rd.

Connor Clubine was making his Mt Tremblant debut and did so in amazing fashion. He added to the teams’ race win tally by claiming the Pro-Am victory in race 1, and was an incredible 3rd overall. He would come back on Sunday and pick up right where he left off securing 2 more wins, making it a clean sweep of all 6 possible wins for Britain West for the weekend.

With no time to celebrate the team was packed up and headed to the final round of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.
