BOWMANVILLE, ON, (JUNE 15, 2018) – This weekend the Britain West team is at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the popular VARAC Vintage Grand Prix and 3 days of on-track action.
Britain West has five cars entered this weekend. The first is Zachary Vanier of Garson, ON in the #65 Mygale Honda sponsored by Anmar and Technica Racing then rookie Matt Gidman, of Toronto, ON in his #04 Van Diemen Honda sponsored by Fortress Racing and Jason Sharpe, of Bolton, ON in the #64 Mygale Honda.
Ross Drybrough of Worthing, Great Britain, is over for some fun this weekend and will be driving the #67 Mygale Honda sponsored by Cove Dentistry. Ross is a regular on British circuits competing in vintage formula car events. This will be his first drive in a modern formula 1600 car.
Hanna Zellers, of Granger, IN has joined the team this weekend to gain valuable track time on the ultra fast circuit. She will be behind the wheel of the #66 Van Diemen Honda that was tested by Charles Chi yesterday.
35 cars will compete over the weekend with practice 2 practice sessions starting on Friday. Saturday is an early start for a qualifying session and race 1 will run in the early afternoon. Sunday will feature 2 races.
